A 6,000-square-meter mythical world is coming to life at Millenáris in Budapest
With 10,000 props, 40 performance spaces, and a 15-meter-high arena, Walk My World will be Europe’s largest immersive attraction.
A monumental new production is transforming Millenáris B Building (Nagycsarnok) into a mythical universe. Over several months, the iconic venue evolves into a 6,000-square-meter immersive space featuring more than 40 uniquely designed performance spaces and more than ten thousand props. Visitors will step into a colossal battlefield soaring 15 meters high, a vibrant marketplace filled with 30 carts and repurposed military trailers, a cavern hiding giant tanks, a mystical labyrinth, sacred halls, as well as a military bunker, workshop, chemistry lab, perfumer’s wagon, and bar.
This exceptionally rich, cinematic world of objects will include a wide array of unique, custom-made props and set pieces. Highlights include a multi-meter-tall robot that interacts with performers, a massive throne, a mechanical beast, a goulash cannon, a lamp and coats that double as circus props, and beds and tables that rise dramatically from the floor. Around a thousand of these objects serve as interactive elements, woven into the story and used by the artists in real time.
Hungary’s most accomplished creatives drive this vision forward. Prop Factory, the company behind the spectacular structures in Dune: Part Two, Blade Runner 2049, and The Martian, contributes to the project’s standout visual design. A Hungarian team with major international film credits—including The King and the BAFTA-winning Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy—is responsible for the production’s props. Scabello, renowned for its contributions to many acclaimed theatre productions, is collaborating on the set design. The architectural design of the performance space is realized by Reload Architecture Studio, and the monumental structural framework is crafted by the Tér-Váz team.
Walk My World brings to life the tragic love story of Aeneas and Dido, a well-known epic poem by the ancient Roman poet Virgil. The myth is reborn in a modern form, through a unique approach merging mesmerising contemporary circus and dance acts that resonate with all the senses and create a pulsating, sensual world. Walking through the immersive installations, the audience can observe the performers up close, as they reveal more and more mysteries before their eyes.
Construction of the venue will continue until July, followed by several months of on-site rehearsals. The captivating universe of Walk My World will open to audiences at Millenáris B Building (Nagycsarnok) in November 2025. Tickets are available on the production’s official website.
