Recirquel is the first contemporary circus company in the European Circus Association (ECA)

The European Circus Association (ECA) welcomes Recirquel as the first company representing contemporary circus among its members. The aim is to strengthen the cooperation between contemporary and traditional circus, thus helping the renewal of European circus arts. In recent years, the Hungarian company played a pioneering role in creating novel forms of expression in circus arts by merging traditional circus with modern dance and theatre.

ECA was  established in 2002 to unite Europe’s circuses and promote and preserve circus arts and culture as part of Europe’s cultural heritage. It represents more than 130 circuses, festivals, animal trainers and artists in 29 countries, including nearly all renowned European circuses and associated members worldwide.
